Canadian-born Chris “Klondike” Masuak was a teenage prodigy guitarist with seminal Australian band Radio Birdman in the 1970s before going on to the Hitmen, New Christs, Screaming Tribesmen, the reformed Birdman and his own numerous solo bands.

He formed the Viveiro Wave Riders after love landed him on the shores of Northern Spain, where he still lives today.

After albums “Bruijita” (2014) and “Address To The Nation” (2016), the scorching “The Kiss Off” b/w “Carny Marriage” is the farewell single for the line-up on American label Savage Magic Records.

While Masuak remains busy with his other Spanish band The Revelators and line-ups of Chris Masuak’s Dog Soldier in Australia and France, this 45 encapsulates all that’s been great about The Viveiro Wave Riders’ powerful, melody-laced brand of rock and roll.
